LIDC Congress, Budapest: 4-7 October 2018
Registrations for the LIDC 2018 Annual Congress are now open.
The full programme with further information on the Congress, including how to register, can be found via the LIDC website
The Congress will feature panels on the Commission’s Digital Single Market initiative and a keynote speech by Judge Christopher Vadja on ‘Competition Law and IP rights: a question of proportionality’. There will also be competition law and IP/unfair competition workshops, where the international report and national reports will be discussed.
The competition law question relates to breaches of competition and which rules should govern the attribution of civil and criminal liability. The IP/unfair competition question explores how the holder of intellectual property rights can protect its brand in the context of on and off-line distribution and after-sales service.
Some of the topics the CLA are working on for the autumn calendar: pharmaceutical cases, jurisdictional issues and FRAND, a competition litigation update, UK cartels hot topics and Fox/Sky.
Full details and confirmed dates will be posted in due course.
